Asian Hawk (Jackie Chan) and his bumbling sidekick are sent on a quest through Europe to find a mysterious treasure held by a shadowy organization of monks.
While shooting the hot air balloon jump, Jackie Chan skydove out of a plane and landed on top of the balloon instead of jumping off a cliff, as is seen in the movie. For the shot of him jumping off the cliff, the crew rigged him up to a wire, as he had no experience in "base jumping".
What's that sound?
Asian Hawk: It's not an ice cream-truck...
At the end where The Asian Hawk is supposedly jumping onto a balloon floating thousands of metres in the air, just as he lands on it, a tree is clearly visible in the background on the same level as the balloon.
At the original end credit, the soundtrack listing list "Ng Ye Ke Si", its Cantonese version, instead of "Midnight Rider", its English language version used in the film.
Japanese theatrical cut (released on laserdisc by Pony Canyon) is based on the uncut Hong Kong version, but features the full original English dub. This also includes the English version of Alan Tam's end theme "Lorelei". Aside from this, there is an alternate outtakes montage during the end credits.
