Still grieving the loss of his parents, a young boy living in Australia finds himself caught up in the magic of an Aboriginal myth that might be more real than anyone knows.
People who live in the area tell stories that the quarry is "bottomless". Before filming, they had to get a police diver in to survey the bottom. It's actually quite shallow, dipping to a maximum of about 40 feet over at the end where the cliff is. This was the only spot where stuntman Robbie Porter (doubling for Henry Thomas) could do the cliff-jump.
Son, every time that brain of yours starts punching out data, public property is in danger, women cry and dogs bark.
Australian children would not dive fully clothed in a lake, river, etc.
