Allan Quatermain once again teams up with Jesse Huston where the discovery of a mysterious old gold piece sends Quatermain looking for his long-lost brother, missing in the wilds of Africa after seeking a lost white race.
To cut costs, most of the score was material that had been composed by Jerry Goldsmith for the first movie, King Solomon's Mines (1985). Just a half-hour of original music was written, by Michael Linn.
He was always ready to go off at the drop of a legend.
While Quatermain is striking the golden lion on the temple roof with the axe during the attack, the cart carrying Agon flips over to the right and behind it can be seen the rope used to help flip it.
