Well-shot soap opera
Clearly aimed at a Couples, female-friendly audience, "Tres Riche" is from the Porno Chic era when porn about life styles was in vogue.
It's set at the title resort, catering to the rich and famous. Sam Strong is the strong-willed heroine, out for revenge against the ruthless businessman who caused her father to commit suicide five years ago.
Feature oddly uses frequent intertitles to carry the story, even though there is plenty of dialog to be dramatically read by the able cast in pure soap opera fashion. Subplots involve a haughty tv star played by Greg Derek, weakest member of the cast, and John Leslie as Sam's lawyer. Steve Drake generates sympathy as Derek's personal assistant, verbally abused at every turn by his boss.
Sex scenes are vividly photographed, with the look of 35mm film, though the stupid AVN nominated the show for a meaningless marketing award in the shot-on-video category. Hot sex is delivered by Amber Lynn and Sharon Mitchell as workers at the resort who aim to please the guest,as well as Sam and a young cutie Dana Dylan.
Director credit has a woman's name: Naomi Goldsmith, but since Naomi is also credited as co-director on another video with Jane Waters, one of porn's mor famous female impersonators in the realm of stage moniker, I suspect that phony name is designed to pretend this is the work of a woman.
