AkaTaMuS (1988) Poster

Two eternal opposing theses - play is our life or life is our play - are the base of music, dance and verse which fit together in this film.

| Best of Bulgaria
In this hybrid between ballet, musical and cinema, one of the most talented Bulgarian poets M. Basheva joins hands with the genius director Djulguerov and the coach of many, many gymnastics champions Neshka Robeva to create a movie that represents truly the best of Bulgarian talent and culture. Starring as Agnessa is the winner of 19 gold medals Lilia Ignatova who currently leads the Bulgarian rhythmic group to new world titles. Opposite her is the actor Ivaylo Hristov, one of Ignatova's love interests in the 1980's, still an idol for many theater aficionados. Just watch the expression on Ivaylo's face as Lilia dances around him. You will identify with both of them.

Bianka Panova, another dancer in the movie, won her world title in 1987 with a record of 8 perfect 10.000's.

This is a very genuine movie where all of these people really show the best they can do...and their best is much more than many can imagine.
