I'm not sure whether I actually enjoyed this movie or found it intense at disturbing and thus couldn't look away. It's another women in peril TV movie, another one where they are allegedly raped before being strangled, and apparently it's all by the same person. There were a lot of movies like this in the 1970's of women alone, discovering that they could be in danger because of that, taking self-defense classes and ultimately having to use them. This time, the focus is on a newlywed married couple, Margot Kidder and Barry Bostwick, her young daughter from her first marriage, and the danger that lurks in the neighborhood as a serial killer makes their way from home to home. It's up to police detective Tony Lo Bianco to trap the killer, and then Kidder makes a shocking discovery.

The film is hard at times to watch because of its intensity, presented in a strong melodramatic manner that is often headache inducing because of the sinister music that appears throughout. Kidder and Bostwick aren't exactly the most loving of newlyweds that I've seen, and their relationship never seems to be based on real love which makes me question their chemistry. Their performances are good and realistic, and the writing is decent, but a lot of the film left me as cold as the corpses the killer violates after snuffing the breathe out of them. Sometimes there is such a thing as too intense which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere in trying to find enjoyment in this.
  • Well executed made for TV movie somewhat predictable outcome as most Hollywood production's are storywise and plot-you can see right through it before the end. However good musical-score,well directed, good support player's and fine performances by Marquee name's MARGOT KIDDER,BARRY BOSTWICK and TONY LO BIANCO. Short plot summary as is,Recently married Nurse Carol(Kidder)loves her new husband Alex(Bostwick)a forensic pathologist, but her 10 year old daughter doesn't share her feeling's. For the past nine month's a serial-killer has been preying on their small town raping and strangling young women. Both Alex and the police detective Evan(Lo Bianco)are under a lot of pressure to catch the killer and Alex often works late nights. Carol's life is thrown into turmoil when she begins to suspect that Alex may or may not be responsible for the gruesome murders. RECOMMENDED VIEWING!
