Sex & Nudity

- Some episodes contain female frontal and rear nudity. However, it's not for sexual titillation.
- Mild to occasionally moderate sexual references.
- Nudity (mostly uncensored) in these episodes: 40, 58, 65, 89, 93
Violence & Gore

- A man's organs spill out. He tries to shove them back in.
- In season 1, a barbarian slices people with an axe. Lots of blood.
- Very infrequent violence, as the series has little action. But when it happens, it's usually quite graphic.
- Soldiers generally fight with axes, and some of the scenes border on bloodbaths.
- Around the middle of the series, there's a gory sequence in similar vein to Saving Private Ryan, with guts showing for a few seconds. Another similar scene near the end, but it's more brief.

- Both major and minor cast members die throughout the series. In some ways, it rivals Game of Thrones in how mercilessly it can take out its cast. Most of them die in a bloody, sometimes gory, fashion.
- Some may find the extreme violence jarring at times.
