The satiric adventures of a working-class family in the misfit city of Springfield.
Comic Book Guy has a statuette which is a "Krusty the Clown" version of the "Han Solo in carbonite" image from Star Wars: Episodes V and VI.
Shut up, Flanders!
Ned Flanders: Okily-dokily!
When Homer bowls a Perfect Game, the Bowlerama Employees both take out keys to unlock the button that releases the Balloon. But the keyholes are too close together. Double Key systems are supposed to ensure that it is impossible for one person to carry out the action, so the keyholes should be much further apart.
Aspects of the opening credits are usually changed with each episode. Elements changed include the blackboard message Bart writes, the sax solo played by Lisa, and most notably the sequence right after Homer gets chased through the garage. Not all of these variations have been included in syndicated versions of the episodes.
Beginning with the show's cable syndication run on FXX on August 21, 2014, new syndication masters have been created. Each episode has been restored to its full length, and is now presented in 16X9 high definition. In addition, credits for the Spanish SAP Translation have been added to the end credits of each episode.
