(at around 7 mins) When Jud takes his hat off as Rachel leaves after they meet, his hat is in his left hand. In the next shot, the hat is in his right hand as he places the hat back on his head.
Television censors of some of the films gorier moments included alternate shots from different angles that hide the more graphic images. This especially came into play with the Timmy Baterman scenes and the films finale in the Creed's kitchen.
