    Storyline

    Edit
After the high-speed adventure in Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach (1988), a spate of robberies in the stylish Wilson Heights district terrorises the city. Then, to make matters worse, when the trio of cat-burglars manages to pull off a daring heist right under the nose of Captain Harris, it is up to Commandant Lassard and a band of loyal graduates from the original Police Academy (1984) to stop the wave of thefts. Now, as a mole is leaking valuable information, only a well-organised undercover operation can expose the mysterious "Mastermind", the one behind the gang's crime spree. Can Lassard's finest crack the case of the Wilson Heights Gang? —Nick Riganas

    • Alternate versions
When shown on the FOX TV network, many scenes were added to fill the time. They include: -One scene shows Nick Lassard arresting a lady for acting as a car valet so that she can steal cars. The lady is caught but tries to bribe Nick into letting her go; "I can really make it worth your while". Nick apologizes saying she's a nice girl but he can't break the rules in his position as a police officer. -One scene has Fackler mopping up a water jug spill from Harris in a previous scene followed by Commandant Lassard receiving a call informing him that the Wilson Heights Gang just robbed the Wilson Heights Bank. The scene ends with Proctor attempting to dry Harris' wet clothes by fanning him with a poster board. -One scene has the Police Academy team making a phone call to the Mayor about the Wilson Heights gang having the blueprints to shut down all the power to the city. The scene changes to show the Mayor discussing his thoughts to the officers followed by his making a secret deal with Captain Harris. -In the scene where Jones is performing impressions at the Comedy Pub, there's an added scene of him asking if the mike is real and then doing an impression of "garbage trucks passing by at 5 a.m." where he makes a small rumbling sound to resemble a truck then makes it louder by adding screeches and then screaming in the voice of the garbage men, "YEEEEEEHA! WAKE UP STUPID!" -One scene has Hooks trying to find a little boy's dog named Pokey. She looks down an alley and sees a small patch of fur and says in her tiny voice "Pokey?". The dog doesn't come out so she then shouts, "YOU COME OUT NOW YOU MANGY MUTT!". When the dog comes out, it's revealed that he's gigantic! Hook's grabs him and yelps, "YOU'RE POKEY?!". She puts a leash around the dog but the dog drags her around the sidewalk. -In theatrical trailers for the film, during Harris' fall from the window washer's scaffold, there was a shot of him upside down, looking at a reflection of himself in a window, and screaming "OH HELP ME! I'LL HELP THE HOMELESS!"

    City Under Siege
Finally, almost done with the Police Academy sequels, I finished the 6th movie in the series, Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, now this movie by no means is the worst movie ever, but it's the weaker of the movies and disappoints more than makes you laugh. With the earlier sequels, I've been surprised, with all the low ratings, I still was laughing at the movies, just because I think people were taking the movies too seriously or comparing too much to the original Police Academy. Now the last Police Academy may not have had Mahony, Steve Guttenberg's character, but it still made me laugh, but I miss the old gang, they were what made the sequels a lot of fun. I also once again missed Zed and Sweetchuck, certain characters just made these movies into fun comedies, but City Under Siege tries too hard.

The class is back together to save the city from jewelery thieves, but the plot thickens when they find out that the leader of the gang is connected with the police. But of course Harris is after all the credit of making the bust on the jewelery thieves and taking the credit, even by mocking the old class that always pull something over their heads. But they find out that there is something deeper than just having the jewels, the thieves are going to own this town unless the police academy stops them.

Police Academy 6: City Under Siege still delivers some really good laughs here and there, you always have to love the pranks the class pulls on Harris, G.W. Baily plays them off so well and makes the memorable. Also you have to love Bubba Smith who is the classic big guy you just don't wanna mess with. But as far as the sequels go, this was without a doubt the weaker, from what I understand Mission in Moscow is the worst, so I'm going to do my best to have faith and just hope the series ends with a bang. Police Academy 6: City Under Siege, I recommend it if you are looking to see the series, but as a comedy, it's just alright.
