A reformed bank robber is taken hostage by a desperate man during a bank hold up, but is forced to go on the run with his captor when they're both mistakenly thought to be in cahoots.
One of a number of mid-late 1980s comedy movies with the word "Three" prefixed in the title. The films include ¡Three Amigos! (1986), Three Fugitives (1989), Three Men and a Baby (1987), Three Men and a Cradle (1985), and Three Men and a Little Lady (1990).

Toward the end, at a customer's house, Ned is struggling to carry Meg and walk upstairs because he said that he hadn't slept or eaten much. But when he and Lucas go to the kitchen, Ned is walking fine, as if nothing was wrong with him.
The UK cinema version was cut by 11 secs to remove two uses of 'fuck' in order for the film to receive a PG certificate. All later releases were uncut and the certificate raised to 15.
