TV Series | TV-14 | | Crime, Drama, Mystery
Follows a crime (usually a murder), usually adapted from current headlines, from two separate vantage points, the police investigation and the prosecution in court.
Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks) and Jamie Ross (Carey Lowell) played Assistant District Attorneys and, after leaving the show, returned and played defense attorneys.
Det. Mike Logan:
You have the right to remain silent.
Dorian 'Silky' Ford: Big surprise. Shut up, man!
The time-lines of trials seem to be rushed and take place within days of the crime. Most of the cases on this series are homicides, with a few rapes and kidnappings thrown in. These cases, if not plea bargained, are seldom heard in less than a year after the event.
The Season 17 episode "Tombstone" ends with live action during the credits instead of the usual black background.
Rebroadcasts on TNT were digitally altered to include product placements.
