    Edit
    • Trivia
Larry David famously instituted a policy of "no hugging, no learning," meaning that the show must avoid sentimentality and moral lessons, and the characters must never learn or grow from their wrongdoings.
    • Goofs
Jerry and Kramer's apartment building address is said several times to be 129 West 81st Street, but the awning outside of the building has the address 757.
    • Quotes

Telemarketer: Hi, would you be interested in switching over to TMI long distance service?

Jerry: Oh, gee, I can't talk right now. Why don't you give me your home number and I'll call you later?

Telemarketer: Uh, well I'm sorry, we're not allowed to do that.

Jerry: Oh, I guess you don't want people calling you at home.

      Telemarketer: No.

Jerry: Well, now you know how I feel.

    • Crazy credits
The series does not have an opening credits sequence. Instead, the lead actor credits play out over a scene. Now commonplace in sitcoms and drama series, this was considered a novelty in 1990 and sparked a debate over the future of opening credits in TV series.
    • Alternate versions
George's father was initially played by 'John Randolph' in the episode "The Handicap Spot". In syndication his guest appearance has been replaced by new footage featuring Jerry Stiller who played George's father in the later episodes. The DVD release of this episode featured in the Season 4 box set allows the option to watch either version.

Comedy of things that can really happen.
I love the show and I watch almost everyday, it makes me to forget all about daily activities. A great way to relax before going sleep.

I believe that somebody out there went through some those situations that we see here.

I have the impression that episodes had some inspiration in some similar real situations and they are doing a parodia about it. It would be interested to find more information of any correlation.

It is very interested how they can great 3 or 4 stories that interconnect to each other and have a great end.

How would it be the show nowadays (2022), with all new technologies, social media, high definition and more scrutiny on comedy.

    FAQ11

    • Did Newman wear a 'fat suit' or did he just later lose a lot of weight? In his behind-the-scenes interviews on DVD he looks considerably smaller.
    • Who is Ruthie Cohen?
    • What are the words to George's song on his answering machine?
