Veteran Filmmaker Mohan Kumar's last film as director. He started this film after his 1986 blockbuster Amrit but was delayed for 2 years and when released it clashed with Amitabh Bachchan's Aaj Ka Arjun. Mohan Kumar started his career with his relative J Om Prakash directing films for him before starting independently.

Weak Direction & Story

A boring village based movie with weak story & plot!

Direction was below average as well.

Even there are star value actors like Anil Kapoor, Meenakshi Seshadri & versatile actress Shabana Azmi in main leading role of Amba but what actors can do if they don't have interesting and powerful story behind them.

It seems like it is another rotten copy of classic movie Mother India.
