The story of Henry Hill and his life in the mob, covering his relationship with his wife Karen Hill and his mob partners Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito in the Italian-American crime syndicate.
Jimmy Conway actually went by the name "Jimmy Burke". In the book, "Wiseguy", the only known piece of information on Jimmy's actual family, is that he "was born to a woman named Conway".
The fuck is that?
When the police car pulls up while Jimmy is handing out cartons of cigarettes from the truck heist, the same two-tone brown 1957 Buick two-door sedan drives by several times, in the same direction, in the background.
A television version of the film was prepared by director Martin Scorsese, which retained a good portion of the film's graphic violence. It also retained much of the profanity, minus the F- and S-words, which were dubbed over. Scorsese did a televised introduction upon the film's network premiere.
