Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is killed by having an ice pick shoved into the back of his head. The pick is shown getting pulled out with blood dripping. This is mostly shown and is very disturbing.
  • A gangster held in the trunk of a car is stabbed and shot several times in the upperbody. He gasps briefly and bloody wounds are shown for a second. Fairly brief but still pretty graphic and disturbing.
  • Three men dig up a rotting corpse. One man vomits due to the stench of rotting flesh. No blood or gore.
  • A man is shot in the back of the head; blood briefly spews from the exit wound in his face. He falls over and blood pools beneath him for a few seconds. Very disturbing and graphic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • When Henry, Jimmy and Tommy are digging up the body of Billy Batts, Henry throws up and some vomit is visible. This might be disturbing to some viewers.
  • Jimmy and Karen get into a drug-filled paranoia state. This culminates into a very intense scene in which Karen is offered dressed by Jimmy, but suspecting this is a trap to hold Karen hostage (as possibly a warning to Henry, not to talk to the police), she walks away. This is part of last 30 or 40 minutes of the movie, in which Jimmy Burke's real self was portrayed more accurately, killing and using people.
