Goofs
When Maniac Cop kills Jack Forrest by the newspaper stand, he violently stabs Forrest's neck and throat so that the blade cuts all the way through Forrest's body. In the next scene, when Detective McKinney visits the medical examiner to view the body, Forrest has no visible cuts or injuries to his neck or throat.
Alternate Versions
Some of the violence was trimmed to get an "R" rating, most notably the police station massacre. This scene appears in its entirely in a flashback sequence in Maniac Cop 3 (which was also originally given an "NC-17" rating).
