Do You Dare Answer?
Typical dud has con-man Dana Carvey literally falling into the lap of luxury when he is mistaken as a house-sitter in a high-class Chicago neighborhood. Of course he and best friend Todd Graff are hiding out from Mafia syndicates, but what happens when Carvey cannot leave new love interest Julia Campbell or her kind parents (Doris Belack and Robert Loggia)? The mistaken identity sub-genre and bad guy wanting to go straight routine had been seen seemingly hundreds of times before this and there is really nothing new to endear this one. Carvey, one of those hams that is still fun to watch, does what he can with the weak material. The movie ends up being little more than a stinker. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
