While a couple of characters returned from the original film, they are played by different actors in this one. Only Mary Woronov returned, and while it is assumed that Doctor Vadar and Evelyn Togar may be the same person, it's never clearly stated and neither McGree nor Eaglebauer recognize her.
In his autobiography, "Coreyography," Corey Feldman details having been a heroin user during filming, and how he showed up to the set one morning with heroin residue dripping from his nose. When a stage hand discretely brought it to his attention to avoid any problems, Feldman exploded into a rage, making up a story about his car having had engine trouble, and how the residue was really engine grease that he had accidentally wiped onto his own nose. Feldman described the situation as one where he ended up causing a huge, unnecessary scene, with the entire crew and cast left glaring at him with disgust.
Mag was meant to look like Corey Haim who was suppose to star in this film with Corey Feldman.
A soundtrack was originally slated to be released by SBK Records but canceled due to lead actor Corey Feldman going to rehab at the time.
