Not as good as the first two.
This movie seemed like a completely separate film. I don't why, it just feels like it. Well, It's still a good slasher though! You have 6 beautiful women running around in their underwear with no way of protecting themselves. What more could you want? The killer turned out to be predictable. But I guess it's because I've seen too many slashers. This one had more T&A than the other two. Although I'm not complaining. It's still a good movie. 6 out of 10.

The film was given a limited release theatrically in the United States by Concorde Pictures in September 1990. It grossed $1,242,995 at the box office. It was subsequently released on VHS by New Horizons Home Video. The film has been released on DVD two times. The first release came from New Concorde Home Entertainment in September 2000. Extras included actor bios along with trailers for Slumber Party Massacre, Slumber Party Massacre II and Sorority House Massacre II. On 5 October 2010 Shout! Factory released Slumber Party Massacre, Slumber Party Massacre II and Slumber Party Massacre III on a two-disc special edition DVD set. In 2018, it was released for the first time on Blu-ray in a double feature alongside its predecessor.

Ken: You're not being nice!
Janine: FUCK YOU!

When the killer uses chainsaw on his victim, it's obvious that there is no chain, which is made more obvious when he goes for the kill and there is no blood and chainsaw doesn't do anything.

Alternate Versions

The original R-rated VHS of the film released by New Horizons Home Video runs 75 minutes. There was also an unrated version released to video by the same company, which runs 80 minutes. This release contains more dialogue and a few extra scenes, as well as several gory images cut from the initial release. In 2000, New Concorde released the film on DVD and VHS as the R-rated version, however, it contains all of the extra footage released on the unrated VHS, plus an additional 7 minutes of scenes, clocking the film at 87 minutes. This is the most complete version of the film available.
