TV Series | TV-G | | Comedy, Family
The daily trials and tribulations of Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, a television show host raising three mischievous boys with help from his loyal co-host, loving wife, and eccentric neighbor.
The character, Wilson, was based on Tim Allen's childhood memories of when he was too short to see over a fence, and was therefore unable to see his neighbor.
Excuse me a second, Al, I need to go use the John.
Tim: I gotta go take a dump.
Tim: I gotta go #1.
In the episode, 'Karate Kid', Wilson says that he wrote the book 'The Psychophysiological Indices of Amorous Connections Among Termites of the Southwest'. In the episode 'Wilson's Girlfriend', that book was given as the title of Jill's psychology professor. However, in both episodes, it had only managed to sell 4 copies.
Most episodes featured outtakes from either Tool Time or the show itself as a backdrop to the closing credits.
