Lane Frost was originally going to perform the stunts for the main character (H.D. Dalton), and his wife Kellie Kyle-Frost (now Macy) was working as Stunt Coordinator for the film at the time of Lane's death at the 1989 Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After Lane's death, his good friend Tuff Hedeman performed the stunt work.
Kingpin Films and Sonny Gibson filed a 4,225,000 dollar lawsuit against Producer Martin Poll and Executive Producer E.K. Gaylord III, for breach of oral contract and tortuous interference with a prospective business advantage.
