- We see Teri Polo in a bikini several times as Ethan Hawke remembers/dreams about her at the beach.
- A flower delivery man is upset at his tip and throws flowers at a convertible with the people he thinks wronged him. He screams, "Fuck her with these" twice, as he throws flowers at them.
- Ethan Hawke's character watches Teri Polo's character through a telescope and into her home day and night in a peeping Tom/voyeuristic situation.
