Well, that was an experience.
If you can make any initial statement about 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Episode 11, it's that it is unforgettable and will have people.
Whether they'll be talking for good or bad reasons is up for debate, though.
Evidently, they've been playing around with some different stylistic choices and plot points for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4. In that sense, four seasons into this series, some credit is extended for ingenuity.
Sometimes, they take big swings that pay off; other times, they do not pay off. You can count the series veering into a genre-bending sitcom throwback for impossibly longer than necessary as the latter.
The thing about 9-1-1: Lone Star is that most of the viewers crave background and character exploration for two-thirds of the cast so much that when there's a hint of a tease in the synopsis for an episode,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Episode 11 “Double Trouble.”] Back in 9-1-1 Season 2, we met Marvin (Julian Works) as he tried to flee from Sergeant Athena Grant (Angela Bassett). Now, on the spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star, Works stars as firefighter Mateo. In the April 4 episode of the latter, the actor plays both. Marvin reaches out to Mateo when he needs bail money, and, thanks to the firefighter’s girlfriend, paramedic Nancy (Brianna Baker), he’s able to give it to him. But then Marvin falls back into old habits and ends up dead. Feeling guilty — Mateo was the one who set a fire Marvin took responsibility for as a teen, ending up down the path he did — the firefighter wants to confess to the past crime. It’s his captain, Owen (Rob Lowe), who talks him out of it. Works takes us inside the episode and teases what’s ahead. Talk about ...

Despite writing some of their generation’s biggest hits, Lynyrd Skynyrd never had a song reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Instead, the band that popularized southern rock plateaued at No. 8 after tragedy interrupted their climb up the charts. Yet, despite their struggles, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music represents a noteworthy evolution in the rock genre.
‘Sweet Home Alabama’ is the only Lynyrd Skynyrd to crack the Billboard Top 10
Released in 1974 on their second album, “Sweet Home Alabama” reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and stayed there for 17 weeks. Despite none of them being from Alabama, it was the band’s most successful song.
Before his unexpected death on March 5, 2023, guitarist Gary Rossington spoke to Garden & Gun about how the band came up with the hit song.

ABC‘s The Rookie is nearing the end of season 5. After the LAPD’s takedown of Elijah Stone in episode 17 (and the FBI’s subsequent shootout with Abril Rodas in The Rookie: Feds), the dust has settled. However, with five episodes remaining in season 5, anything can happen, and we have a feeling that we haven’t seen the last of Elijah. Unfortunately, fans won’t learn what happens next in The Rookie anytime soon because the show is going on a hiatus.

Irwin Winkler has been producing films for parts of six decades. His latest is “The Irishman,” which reunites him with frequent collaborators Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro as well as Al Pacino (“Revolution”). Winkler was first mentioned in Variety on Dec. 24, 1958, when he was an agent at William Morris and getting married. He left the agency to become a producer, debuting with the 1967 Elvis Presley movie “Double Trouble.”
Soon after, he and Robert Chartoff formed Chartoff Winkler Prods., scoring big with the 1969 drama “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?” Directed by Sydney Pollack and starring Jane Fonda, the film earned nine Oscar nominations, winning a supporting actor trophy for Gig Young. The producing duo took home the Oscar when “Rocky” (1976) won best picture. Since then, their many films have included “The Right Stuff,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” both “Creed” films and now “The Irishman.”

She-Ra season 4 is happening on Netflix! Now we have a release date and trailer to prove it.
The end of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 blew the whole universe wide open. This isn't just a fight going on in the world of Etheria but it's a galactic conflict! This can't be the end of the show, right?
Well it's not! She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 4 is coming to Netflix this fall. And it sounds like the series' showrunner has a plan for what will be included in season 4. Back around the time She-Ra premiered on Netflix, creator Noelle Stevenson gave an interview with Animation Magazine discussing her plans for the show.
“When I first pitched the show, I approached it as if had one season, but we now have four arcs of 13 episodes done. I had ideas for the big overall scheme for the show.

In January 2013, Martin Scorsese assembled the cast of his projected next movie, titled The Irishman, for a read-through of the shooting script. Their names — De Niro, Pacino and Pesci – did not resonate as “Irish.” Moreover, the actors, all in their 70s, would play ages 30 to 80 with the help of newly developed technology. The movie would likely be the most expensive non-superhero movie of the year — that is, if it found financing.
And that, the cast knew, was largely in the hands of producer Irwin Winkler, whose recent adventures in funding pictures had been more suspenseful than the plots of his films. Since Winkler has been defying the odds for some 50 years, it’s no surprise that The Irishman will finally get its release this fall, albeit seven years after the reading. The final cost is rumored to approach $140 million, due to its multiple locations set in different periods – a total...

With plenty of genre efforts already made, it would seem very few original ideas are left in the ground to unearth for zombie films yet the concept of mixing together ‘The Raid: Redemption’ with ‘Fight Club’ is certainly an intriguing mixture. Nowhere near as unique or creative as it could’ve been but still highly enjoyable nonetheless, this mashup from emerging Taiwanese genre director Joe Chien has a lot to like due to that.
Arriving at an ordinary apartment building, police officer Andy and his team, Captain Ma and Li Wei find the rumors are true in that they’ve been unleashed into a zombie outbreak. Trying to fight their way through the horde of zombies inside, several other survivors Jenny and David also manage to stay alive inside the building and together fight their way to safety, only to see several years later that the zombie...

Munich-based sales agent Arri Media has closed distribution deals for three territories on “Double Trouble & the Magical Mirror,” which world premieres Monday in the Lola section of Berlinale, and is shortlisted for the German Film Award.
The family entertainment film has been picked up by Wing Sight Media in China, Cloud Movie in Italy and Selim Ramia in the Middle East. The film will be released in Germany by Square One Entertainment on April 4.
In the film, fun-loving but lazy Frido, 10, finds a magical mirror that creates a doppelganger of himself who can do everything better than him. He tells his friends and they do the same but soon their doubles begin to take over.
Marcus H. Rosenmüller’s pic stars Luis Vorbach, Jona Gaensslen, and Margarita Broich; it is produced by Benedikt Böllhoff and Max Frauenknecht at Viafilm.

The Good Place introduces us to Jason's family in The Good Place and suffers from some Florida over-exposure.

The Good Place Season 3 Episode 5
The Good Place for all of its technical brilliance and upending of traditional network sitcom structure is still a network sitcom. This is a half-hour comedy that receives a 13-episode order each year. At some point each season, The Good Place has adopted something resembling a status quo.
In season one, the return to the status quo meant Eleanor discovering the truth about Jianyu/Jason and inviting him to philosophy lessons with Chidi week after week. In season two the status quo saw Tahani and Michael joining the philosophy lessons while the whole gang tried to avoid discovery by Sean and the demons.
In season three we have now arrived at a tenuous status quo. For at least a few weeks now,...

If you didn’t grow up during the late-80′s/early-90′s, you may not remember the Barbarian Brothers. Peter and David Paul were muscle-bound body builders known for their extreme dedication to their craft. One look at their impossibly chiseled physique and you knew you were dealing with a different breed of weight-lifter. In 1987, someone got the bright idea to cast the siblings in a fantasy flick called “The Barbarians”, a film I vaguely recall during the late-night Cinemax escapades of my youth. The film must have been a moderate success, as the brothers found themselves in a small batch of like-minded action/comedies which focused on the fact that they were big, they were strong, and, more importantly, they were twins. Enter John Paragon’s 1992 epic “Double Trouble”, a buddy cop flick which finds the two brothers joining forces to take down the dastardly son-of-a-bitch behind a high-stakes jewel smuggling operation.
