Demi Moore’s Golden Globe-winning horror movie continues dominating streaming charts, a whopping twelve weeks after release. 2025 may be Moore’s year to capture Hollywood’s biggest prize, as there is real Oscar buzz around her and her big 2024 movie. The Academy indeed has yet to bestow even a nomination upon the one-time Brat Packer, despite her occasional award-courting performances in movies like A Few Good Men, The Scarlet Letter and G.I. Jane. The Golden Globes, on the other hand, have been kinder to Moore, giving her a pair of film acting nominations, though spaced 33 years apart.
The first of those two widely-spaced Golden Globe nominations came way back in 1991, when Moore was up for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy Or Musical for her performance in Ghost. Over three decades after receiving that first recognition from the Globes, Moore was stunningly back again in 2024, thanks to her most challenging, and buzziest,...

We were distracted. For most of her life, Pamela Anderson was being upstaged by “Pamela Anderson.” Then Gia Coppola sent her a screenplay by Kate Gersten, and now Ms. Anderson, having given one of the finest performances of this or any year, has won awards from film festivals around the world and is in the middle of Academy Award conversations.
In “The Last Showgirl,” a remarkable film, Anderson plays Shelly, a dancer in the final few days of a dying Vegas revue. Much has been made of her apparent choice not to wear make-up, but as brave as it may have been, that’s hardly the most impressive thing about her work (and it turns out that Pamela Anderson without make-up is exactly as attractive as Pamela Anderson on the cover of Playboy. Tough luck.) She starts out by handling a chaotic and verbose dressing room scene with breathtaking skill and confidence and then,...

Jon Cryer, known for his funny role as Alan Harper on Two and a Half Men, surprised fans when he took on a very different role in the 13th season of NCIS. This change showed just how versatile Cryer is, adding something new to the NCIS world.

You don’t often hear the phrases “feel-good” and “Financial Conduct Authority” in the same sentence. But 2023’s Bank Of Dave was as feel-good as they come, telling the “true-ish” story of David Fishwick (played by Rory Kinnear), a businessman and Burnley bloke who defied the odds and the snooty financial regulators to open a charitable community bank for his fellow Lancastrians. Sentimental and sugary though it was, this was a proper heart-warming Brit-com in the classical mould — a banking-based Brassed Off, a financial-sector Full Monty. Plus, it had a climactic cameo from the band Def Leppard, for some reason.
Now Dave is back, in this latest fictionalised retelling of his BAFTA-winning Channel 4 documentary series, with Chris Foggin returning to the director’s chair. Set in the doldrums of the coalition Lib-Con government, the sting of the 2007-’08 recession not yet faded, the scourge of payday loans suddenly begins...

Max's new series The Pitt thrives on the strength of its strong cast of characters, who deliver great performances throughout the fast-paced series. Medical drama The Pitt follows the doctors and medical professionals of the emergency department of the fictional Pittsburgh trauma hospital Ptmc. In a unique twist, each episode of the series, which was originally conceived as an ER revival, but failed, unfolds during one hour of a single ER shift, the semi-real-time pace of the series making it feel even more immersive.
The Pitt, which got a solid Rotten Tomatoes score ahead of its debut, is also different from other medical dramas in that if focuses less on the intertwined lives and romances of the doctors, but on the hectic and stressful nature of being a modern-day healthcare worker. The intensity of the trauma center emergency room is put front and center in the medical drama, rather than the personal drama.

When Kerry Washington announced Demi Moore as the Golden Globes winner for Best Comedy/Musical Actress on Sunday night, the crowd reacted in surprise jubilation — and that was before The Substance star brought the house down with the best acceptance speech of the night.
“I’ve been doing this a long time, like, over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” Moore, 61, said while holding the Golden Globe Award. “And I am just so humbled and so grateful. Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a ‘popcorn actress,’ and at that time, I made that mean that this is not something I was allowed to have. That I could do movies that were successful and made a lot of money, but that I couldn’t be acknowledged, and I bought in and I believed that. That corroded me over time,...

Demi Moore landed the first acting award of her career — yes, career — after taking home the Golden Globe for best actress in a motion picture, musical or comedy. She won for her go-for-broke performance as an aging celebrity in the body horror satire “The Substance.”
“I’m in shock right now. I’ve been doing this a long time — like, over 45 years — and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” Moore, 62, said from the stage at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday night. “I’m so humbled and grateful.”
Moore has been nominated for four Globes across nearly 25 years, scoring prior nods for “Ghost” in 1991 and two for the anthology series “If These Walls Could Talk” in 1997. Demi Moore reveals why she nearly stepped away from acting before landing her Golden Globe-nominated role in The Substance. The 2024 body horror film, directed by Coralie Fargeat, stars Moore as Elisabeth Sparkle, a faded Hollywood star who resorts to a black-market drug to regain her youth, unleashing a grotesque and horrifying consequence. Margaret Qualley co-stars as Sue, Elisabeth’s younger, better version of herself. The film, known for its shocking practical effects and biting commentary on society's obsession with youth, premiered to critical acclaim at Cannes, where Fargeat won Best Screenplay.
During an Actress Roundtable with the Los Angeles Times, Moore opened up about her struggles with the film industry that almost caused her to leave entirely before she was cast in The Substance. A major star of the 1980s and 1990s, Moore is best known for iconic roles in Blame It on Rio, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal.

Before NCIS became a massive TV sensation with Mark Harmon at the center, CBS had a sneaky trick up its sleeve. Wicked is one of the biggest and best movies of 2024. It's made over half a billion dollars at the box office, surpassing Mamma Mia! to become the most successful movie ever adapted from a stage musical. Fans have been waiting for a movie version of Wicked ever since the musical hit the stage way back in 2003, so it's no surprise that people turned out to see the film.
Before that, Wicked was a book by author Gregory Maguire: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, published in 1995. The book, which reimagines the story of The Wizard of Oz from the Wicked Witch of the West's point of view, was a hit right from the start, and there were attempts to turn it into a more straightforward movie before composer Stephen Schwartz got ahold of it and made it a musical smash.

Image Source: Sony Pictures By 1992, Tom Cruise was the king of Hollywood. After stealing hearts in Rain Man and earning his first Oscar nomination for Born on the Fourth of July, Cruise was unstoppable. Then came A Few Good Men. Playing Daniel Kaffee, a cocky yet brilliant military lawyer, Cruise soared to new heights. Add Jack Nicholson as his onscreen adversary—how could we forget “You can’t handle the truth!”—and the result was iconic. At the time of the film’s release, Cruise shared how he approached the role of Kaffee, balancing the character’s charm, ambition, and growth through the story. It’s a performance that still resonates today, proving why this courtroom classic earned Four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture. Wicked producer Marc Platt and author Gregory Maguire reveal several 1990s stars who wanted to play Glinda and Elphaba. Gregory Maguire's Wicked book was published in 1995, and its success led to a bidding war over the rights among actors who wanted to see it made into a feature-length movie. This bidding war occurred before Wicked became the beloved musical that debuted in 2003 and that is still running on Broadway today.
As shared via Vanity Fair, when Platt joined Universal Pictures, Wicked was initially optioned to Demi Moore's production company, Moving Pictures. This would have included Moore in the role of Elphaba, with Maguire recalling that "I used to say, I can imagine Demi Moore naked and green on the cover of Vanity Fair." At the time, Moore was Hollywood's highest-paid actress and had extensive star power following her roles in A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, and Striptease.

At this point, it really is a wonder if there's anything Tom Cruise can't do. After falling, jumping, and flying through the air in a fashion that makes mere mortals tremble, one thing he can check off the bucket list is making his way onto IMDb's Top 250. With a filmography consisting of some iconic level entries that have defined eras and raised the bar in their respective genres, it only made sense that his work would be shown some love alongside some of the greatest films ever made. What's surprising is just which film made the cut.
Even before his magnificent run of "Mission: Impossible" movies (which all displayed his actual magnificent run), Cruise had appeared in films like "A Few Good Men," "Jerry Maguire," "Collateral," and "Risky Business." But none of them could compare to the time he got back in the cockpit as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in "Top Gun: Maverick.

"Seinfeld" wasn't always a sensation. Over its first few seasons (beginning in 1989), the sitcom about nothing felt like too much to do about nothing in the eyes of NBC executives. Did people really want to watch whole episodes of unpleasant people either bickering around a diner table or getting into deeply embarrassing trouble, while, say, making out during a screening of the Steven Spielberg masterpiece "Schindler's List?"
They did, but they didn't know it initially, which, again, caused series creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David some trouble with the leadership at the network.
It's a little bizarre that there was any consternation at all. The series wasn't a breakout hit, but it was routinely ranking somewhere in the 40s in the Nielsen ratings and garnering enthusiastic reviews from critics. The ensemble finally clicked once Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Elaine was made a regular member of the cast, and the writing was consistently...

Tom Cruise played a U.S. Navy aviator in the “Top Gun” movies, and now he’s being recognized for his on-screen representation of the military branch.
On Tuesday, Cruise was awarded the Navy’s top civilian honor, the Distinguished Public Service Award, for his “outstanding contributions to the Navy and the Marine Corps” through his work in “Top Gun,” “Born on the Fourth of July,” “A Few Good Men” and the “Mission Impossible” franchise. “I admire all of the servicemen and women,” Cruise said, according to the Associated Press. “I know in life, something that is very true to me, is that to lead is to serve. And I know that to my core.

The ’90s were not, in fact, only 20 years ago, no matter what you might think and as the creative team behind CBS’ “NCIS: Origins” knows all too well. We are as far away from 1991, the year the freshman series is set, as 1991 is from 1958. This is, for everyone keeping track, the year “Vertigo” hit theaters. But in terms of technology, it might as well be 1858.
Sure, fax machines and outdated computers are there for the taking. But getting them to work? That’s a whole other story. “It’s dead technology, so you need to skin it and change the button that says copy, and you can only use a bottom loader instead of a top loader where the paper goes through,” Pat Russo, the series’ head of props, told IndieWire. “So, it’s complicated.”

Some years were particularly impressive in the history of film. For example, many say 1984 is the best year for film because franchises like Terminator and Ghostbusters started that year, as did the career of now-famous director John Hughes. But, there's also an argument to be made for 1993 as the best year for film ever, because of genre-changing films like Groundhog Day and Sleepless in Seattle, career-defining films like Schindler's List and A Few Good Men, and of course, the birth of the Jurassic Park franchise.
Some years, like 2023 most recently, turn into film festivals themselves because of how many amazing films came out that year. Similarly, 2024 is a great year for horror movies, arguably the greatest in a long time, perhaps even more than 2022, when Robert Eggers, David Cronenberg, Jordan Peele, and Brandon Cronenberg all released new films. However, movies like Fight Club and The Matrix make 1999 the best movie year for many.

But what happens when someone like Tom Cruise, who has amassed a staggering $600 million fortune, doesn’t seem to radiate Bre?

Tom Cruise’s financial success might surprise even his biggest fans. Despite his blockbuster career spanning decades, the 62-year-old star of Mission: Impossible and Top Gun isn’t commonly associated with luxury.
Perhaps it’s his relatively low-profile lifestyle or infamous moments like his couch-jumping incident on Oprah. Still, his wealth is undeniable, built through box-office hits, smart contracts, and producer credits.

“I had hit that point of being a little bit — I don’t want to say defeated, because I wasn’t defeated, and I wasn’t even hopeless, but I was just kind of flat, neutral in a way,” Demi Moore says as she sits in her Beverly Hills home to record an episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast.
The 62-year-old, accompanied by her teacup chihuahua Pilaf, was speaking of the state of her career just before The Substance, the new Coralie Fargeat-directed film in which she gives the performance of a lifetime as a Hollywood star who is increasingly cast aside as she ages, and resorts to extreme measures to try to retain her youth and beauty.

Tom Cruise has delivered some of the best dramatic acting throughout his extensive Hollywood career. The action movie star made a name for himself with films like Rain Man, Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut, Jerry Maguire, and Vanilla Sky before becoming nearly synonymous with action, stunt work, and the Mission: Impossible franchise. But of all his films, Born on the Fourth of July stands out as a rare gem.

Despite his penchant for delivering constant box office hits, Cruise invited controversy with some of his more prominent films like Valkyrie and Interview With the Vampire. In the case of Born on the Fourth of July, however, it was not the film’s stance on the subject of war itself but Cruise’s acting that captivated the audience and caused sensationalism.

On Dec. 2, 1992, Columbia premiered the Aaron Sorkin adaptation A Few Good Men in New York. The film, starring Tom Cruise and directed by Rob Reiner, went on to nab four nominations at the 65th Academy Awards, including a nom for best picture. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review is below:
A Few Good Men should win a few good Oscar nominations. A crisp, full-dress adaptation of Aaron Sorkin’s successful play, this Castle Rock production will prove a formidable assailant on all fronts — the boxoffice, awards and critical. Tom Cruise, equal parts mettle and dazzle, erupts with a fully fleshed lead performance that should finally bring him his just due as an actor, while Jack Nicholson forges a terrific performance as an ironpants militarist. Those volcanic lead performances, coupled with director Rob Reiner’s savvy sense of entertainment, will win salutes from a wide spectrum of audiences.

Taylor Sheridan's new show Landman has an utterly confusing problem with Demi Moore that's only made worse by her recent box office hit. Taylor Sheridan has a lot riding on Landman, especially as the ending of Yellowstone season 5, part 2 and the show as a whole draws nearer. Several of Sheridan's best shows have tried to replace Yellowstone in the past, but Landman may be his best chance yet. Unfortunately, after three episodes, it's not using all the weapons it has at its disposal.
The cast of Landman features quite a few big names, like Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore. That star-studded cast helped it gain popularity, and it likely made it possible for Landman to shatter streaming records after just three episodes. Having so many A-list celebrities involved helps make Landman a potentially viable replacement for Yellowstone, but the show isn't taking full advantage of its cast.

Kiefer Sutherland has appeared in multiple acclaimed films and shows in the past few years. While his role as Jack Bauer in 24 is probably his most well-known, his appearances in Stand by Me, A Few Good Men, and the drama Designated Survivor have brought him a lot of recognition. His 1987 vampire comedy The Lost Boys became a cult hit.
Sutherland plays David, a vampire who acts as the gang leader of a local bike gang and befriends the protagonists. Sutherland’s character has gained a cult following, with David being regarded as one of the greatest villains in pop culture. While there were plenty of scenes for him to shine, one gory deleted scene would have made David a legend.

Hollywood anarchist and noted nudist Jack Nicholson saw his career flash before his eyes in the mid-1980s as the era’s most popular movies totally confounded him. In a 1986 interview with The New York Times, Nicholson was asked if he felt “like a creative person trapped in an uncreative age in the industry.”
''Well, you know,” Nicholson replied, “last night I saw — what’s that movie? Ferris something?”
Was Nicholson referring to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? Anyone? Anyone?
“Well, that movie made me feel totally irrelevant to anything that any audience could want, and 119 years old,” he explained.
To make matters worse, it felt like the audience was on John Hughes’ side of the argument. “Believe me, everyone else watching it liked it,” he said. “And you know, I literally walked out of there thinking my days are numbered. These people are trying to kill me.”

“Landman” is here. Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, based on the Texas Monthly podcast “Boomtown,” has started streaming on Paramount+, and it’s already a sensation. It’s the biggest global series premiere on Paramount+ in two years, with more than 5.2 million views on the streaming service and the Paramount Network, where it aired following the second episode of “Yellowstone” 5B.

Play-to-film adaptations can often flourish thanks to the little tricks and turns that only the silver screen can provide: whether it’s Jack Nicholson’s claustrophobic close-up as he exclaims guilt in A Few Good Men, or the frantic editing of Amadeus. On the other hand, some adaptations do too little and end up feeling literally ‘stagey’ as a result. With The Piano Lesson in particular, it feels like not much has been gained by re-rendering this Pulitzer- winner on celluloid.
Adapted from August Wilson’s play — part of the ‘Pittsburgh Cycle’ that includes Fences and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (all three now Denzel Washington-produced films) — The Piano Lesson is set in 1936 in Pittsburgh, where the Charles family live, with a large piano sitting unused in their house. Demi Moore has candidly shared her decades-long journey of grappling with body image issues and an eating disorder, shaped by the immense pressures of Hollywood.
In a revealing interview with Elle on November 14, Moore reflected on the emotional toll these experiences took on her and how she has worked towards self-acceptance.
Early Struggles with Hollywood Pressures
Moore recalled a particularly humiliating experience early in her career when a producer criticized her weight.
“The producer pulled me aside. It was very embarrassing and humiliating,” she said, describing the painful incident.
This moment marked the beginning of a pattern where external pressures heavily influenced her self-worth.
“There is a lot of torment I put myself through when I was younger,” she explained. “The perfect example is when I was told to lose weight multiple times… But that’s just one thing.”
Moore also described how she internalized these demands, leading to extreme behaviors and harsh self-criticism.

Landman season 2 and beyond gets a hopeful update from co-creator Christian Wallace. Based on the podcast Boomtown, Wallace and Taylor Sheridan portray a West Texas landscape where various individuals are chasing wealth from oil rigs. The series premiered on Paramount+ on November 17 and stars Billy Bob Thornton. Along with Thornton, the cast of Landman includes John Hamm, Ali Larter, James Jordan, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, and Demi Moore.
In a recent interview with The Direct, Wallace shared his hope for continuing The Landman. He revealed that season 1 of the drama series does not explore every story surrounding the oil and gas industry, and so there may be more to cover in season 2 and beyond. Read Wallaces comments below:

Back in the soap opera glory days of the 1980s, I remember well Demi Moore‘s short stint on the popular “General Hospital.” With her distinctive gravelly voice, movie star beauty and strong personality, it was obvious that the small screen couldn’t contain her, and that she would go on to bigger things.
Demi Gene Guynes was born on November 11 in 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Following a difficult childhood, she left school her junior year and did some modeling before meeting and marrying musician Freddy Moore, with whom she co-wrote three songs. She had a couple of small film roles before landing the “General Hospital” gig in 1983. Then a series of popular films beginning with “Blame It On Rio” in 1984 led to an impressive string of blockbuster films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, making her one of the biggest stars of the era.

Interview with the Vampire director Neil Jordan explains how Tom Cruise stalled a sequel, and the actor's reasoning has now become a big career trend. Based on Anne Rice's 1976 novel, the 1994 fantasy horror film follows San Francisco reporter Daniel Molloy (Christian Slater) as he engages in a sit-down interview with Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt), a vampire who recounts his life story. Cruise stars in the film as Lestat de Lioncourt, the vampire who first turned Louis. Interview with the Vampire was a hit at the box office, but no direct sequel ever materialized.
In a recent interview with Variety, Jordan reveals that an Interview with the Vampire sequel did actually get quite far along in the writing process. The director reveals, however, that Cruise didn't want to reprise his role as Lestat as part of a larger reluctance to make sequels, and that essentially killed the project.

It’s been three decades since some of Hollywood’s hottest young actors, as well as an up-and-coming young actress, came together to surprise us with a sensual and thrilling gothic horror flick. “Interview with the Vampire” hit theaters on November 11, 1994, almost 20 years after Anne Rice’s debut novel was published. Read on for more about the “Interview with the Vampire” 30th anniversary.
Rice wrote “Interview with the Vampire” after the death of her five-year-old daughter from leukemia, reworking a short story she had written a few years prior. The homoerotic novel about vampires Louis de Pointe du Lac and his sire Lester de Lioncourt was first published in 1976, with the film rights obtained at that time. After years in development hell, Warner Bros. secured the rights, and brought in “The Crying Game” director Neil Jordan, who rewrote Rice’s script, although she retained credit. Most people think of retirement as one of life's rites of passage, something akin to graduating from school or getting a promotion at a job. While some people have careers that treat retirement in this manner, there are many others for whom retirement is more of a state of mind than anything else. This is certainly true of an artist; some never seem to want to stop or slow down (may I remind you that The Rolling Stones just finished their latest tour this past July), while others feel that they don't wish to wear out their welcome. Then there are other factors, such as changing cultural norms as well as the waxing and waning of opportunities as they dwindle with age. Of course, age itself can be a factor; bodies do inexorably decline, after all.

Denzel Washington is expected to be a major factor in other awards season with Gladiator II, and the movie could give him a rare Oscars milestone if he gets a nomination. Considering the Oscar wins and nominations that the original Gladiator got, there was always some pressure and expectation that Ridley Scott's sequel could be another film that the Academy Awards recognizes. The involvement of Denzel Washington in Gladiator 2's cast significantly increased the odds that the movie could gain some recognition, as the actor has an incredible track record for getting Oscar nominations.
Whether it was his first nomination in 1988 or his most recent one in 2022, Denzel can turn an Oscar-worthy performance in any film. His role as Macrinus in Gladiator 2 provides him with plenty of opportunities to leave an impression on audiences, so much so that he was one of the standouts from the trailers alone.

Jack Nicholson is a force of nature. From his acting skills to on-screen and off-screen charisma to his facial expressions, the man is a true example of a true actor. In 1992, Jack Nicholson was a part of the star-studded cast of A Few Good Men, joined by Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, and more. Even the director, Rob Reiner, is an acting connoisseur himself having been in projects like All in the Family and The Wolf of Wall Street.

In the "The Simpsons" episode "Brother from the Same Planet", Homer (Dan Castellaneta) forgets about Bart (Nancy Cartwright) at soccer practice, leaving him to wait for many hours. Bart, as he often does, accuses Homer of being a terrible father, and seeks revenge by submitting his name to the Bigger Brother agency (a riff on Big Brothers Big Sisters of America) hoping to find a new temporary guardian to care for him. Bart is paired with a charming, caring man named Tom (Phil Hartman), an ultra-cool test pilot. Tom is gentle and attentive, and Bart enjoys the time they spend together. Bart eventually starts to feel guilty, though, when he realizes Tom's time could be spent caring for a more disadvantaged child than he.

Only Murders in the Building might be about Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles, (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) but Rudy, played by Kumail Nanjiani, stole the show—or at least a scene. How? When he launched into Jack Nicholson’s A Few Good Men monologue. Viewers only saw bits and pieces—more on why ahead—but, according to the show’s co-creator John Hoffman, Nanjiani performed the entire monologue in one take.
Nanjiani reciting the whole ‘A Few Good Men’ monologue wasn’t planned
On the heels of Meryl Streep and Melissa McCarthy’s living room brawl, the Hulu original series returned on Oct. 15, 2024, with the “Lifeboat” episode and a hilarious scene with Rudy and the Westies.
While confronting them about Dudenoff (Griffin Dunne), somehow Rudy launched into the famed A Few Good Men monologue. As Hoffman told The Wrap, Nanjiani went above and beyond for the scene during filming.

The Substance (2024) is a satirical body horror film written, directed, and co-produced by Coralie Fargeat. The story centers on Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore), a fading celebrity who is fired from her TV show for being deemed too old. The program comes with strict rules: Elisabeth and Sue must alternate every seven days, sharing the same consciousness. As they navigate this bizarre arrangement, unexpected and grotesque side effects begin to unravel their lives. The film blends dark humor and body horror, drawing comparisons to Cronenberg’s work, with stellar performances from the cast. In the early nineties, Tom Cruise was at a crossroads in his career. As he approached thirty, the time was fast approaching when he could no longer play the kind of “cool young guy” role that had made his eighties movies such huge successes. Indeed, the formula was starting to wear thin, with Days of Thunder underperforming at the U.S. box office. His follow-up, Far and Away, performed even worse, landing with a thud at the North American box office, despite it re-teaming Cruise with his now wife Nicole Kidman, whose career was starting to take off. It was time for Cruise to tweak the kind of movies he was making, and sure enough, his next film, A Few Good Men, would kick off a streak of 5 back-to-back $100 million hits, which would make him the most bankable actor in the world.

Warning! Spoilers for Only Murders in the Building season 4, episode 8 "Lifeboat."
Only Murders in the Building co-creator John Huffman reveals that Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Rudy, originally recited Jack Nicholson's entire monologue from A Few Good Men. The current murder being investigated is Sazz (Jane Lynch), who plays Charles' (Steve Martin) stunt double. In season 4, episode 8, "Lifeboat," the Westies detail their relationship with Milton Dudenoff throughout the years. Rudy recalls the monologue he did for Dudenoff at the bus stop when they first met.
Huffman tells TheWrap that the monologue "was not scripted" for Nanjiani to do "the entire scene," but the comedian had "the entire thing memorized" and "dazzled" everyone on the set with "one take" during filming. Sadly, they had to "jump through" it because the full length was "three to five minutes," resulting in a "cut-down version" of the monologue. Huffman also revealed that Nanjiani had...

The best way to describe Only Murders in the Building Season 4 Episode 8 is simply a snoozefest, a disjointed, monotonous mess that had me counting down the minutes until it was over.
Although it was just 37 minutes, it somehow felt much longer, as the usual charm and intrigue were sorely missing.
The episode was filled with distractions, like Christmas Tree Guy’s entire A Few Good Men monologue. Though edited, it was still entirely excruciatingly boring.
(Disney/Patrick Harbron)
Though it may have been his audition piece for Dudenoff at a bus stop, it did nothing to move the story forward and felt like a forced attempt at humor that missed the mark.
Then came Helga’s reappearance, after first being introduced over the ham radio in earlier episodes.
This time, she showed up to reveal the truth she believed about the Westies, convinced they were the ones responsible for Dudenoff’s murder.

The previous episode of Only Murders in the Building revealed that it was the residents from the West Tower who were encashing Dudenoff’s checks. Mabel, Charles, and Oliver knew that Vince, Rudy, and the Sauce family could have had motives behind murdering Dudenoff, and they were probably the ones who had killed Sazz, too. So, let’s find out what happened in episode 8 and if the West Tower residents actually had something to do with the murder of Sazz and Dudenoff, or if there was another twist awaiting the trio around the corner.
Spoiler Alert
What did the actors find out about Oliver and Charles?
We saw in the previous episodes that the actors—Zac, Eugene, and Eva—always wanted to be around Oliver, Charles, and Mabel, just so that they could pick up on their behavioral traits. In episode 8, too, we saw something similar happening. Mabel, Charles, and...
