One year after Kevin McCallister was left home alone and had to defeat a pair of bumbling burglars, he accidentally finds himself stranded in New York City - and the same criminals are not far behind.
Director Chris Columbus admits on the audio commentary for Home Alone (1990), this movie was, "to some extent", a remake of the first movie.
Wow! What a hole!
The lady that told Kevin he is in New York should not have ignored Kevin when he whispers he is alone again. In fact, the lady should have asked Kevin where his family was and she may have managed to alert the police in Florida and get him a plane there.
Just as the end credits finish, the Hughes logo is moving and making crashing sounds. This is possibly a reference to the film logo moving as seen in the TV spots and theatrical trailer
