One year after Kevin McCallister was left home alone and had to defeat a pair of bumbling burglars, he accidentally finds himself stranded in New York City - and the same criminals are not far behind.
For the television version, about twenty minutes of this movie was edited in very small sections, because this movie is exactly two hours long. In order to watch the full version on television, the time slot is extended to two and a half hours.

At the top of the stairs, the tool chest wheels (two fixed and two rotating) are all facing sideways. Before it falls, all the wheels including the fixed wheels are facing forward.
Just as the end credits finish, the Hughes logo is moving and making crashing sounds. This is possibly a reference to the film logo moving as seen in the TV spots and theatrical trailer
When aired on TV, the scene where Kevin visits the World Trade Center is cut due to the September 11th attacks.
