An ex-Navy Seal turned cook is the only person who can stop a group of terrorists when they seize control of a U.S. battleship.
Shortly after the Missouri is taken, an F/A-18 approaches the ship. There is audio of radio communications in the background. The audio is real radio chatter from two F-14s, which intercepted and shot down two Libyan Mig-23s. The incident occurred on January 4, 1989.

When the military officials learn that one of the Tomahawks has "slipped through", a surveillance camera monitor in the background is playing video of a casino employee dealing cards.
At the close of the credits: USS Missouri BB63 was decommissioned March 31, 1992 and is now moored at Bremerton Naval Yard, awaiting her next call to service.
German retail VHS and DVD were cut for violence to secure a "Not under 16" rating. Cuts include the man shoved on the bandsaw and the eye gouging in the final fight. This version was also broadcast on TV. Only in 2002 the uncut version was released on DVD (with a "Not under 18" rating).
