The drink Kanar; We see several different people pouring Kanar into glasses throughout the series, both Cardassians and Quark. The liquid we see varies from a thin pink fluid in one episode to a thick dark fluid that almost looks like molasses in another, to a whiskey like liquid in a later episode. However, many Earth drinks have different colors and consistencies. Rum, for example, comes in clear and dark coloration. Tea comes in over 3000 varieties, with variations in color. Milkshakes comes in various colors and consistencies depending on the ingredients used, from a thin water-like consistency to one as thick as ice-cream.
The opening credits for "Emissary" lacked the wormhole opening that all future episodes featured. Starting with Season 4, the opening credits included additional spacecraft and activity around the station, including the Defiant flying into the wormhole.
Several episodes were originally shown as 2-hour movies. They were later edited into two-part 60 minute episodes for later airings.
