Two F.B.I. Agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic, investigate the strange and unexplained, while hidden forces work to impede their efforts.
They never were afraid of experiments in The X Files. Among other things, they made episodes in black and white, that seemed made in one take, from the point of view of the monster, with almost any dialogue or openly comic. They all were always successful.
Do we have to watch this, Fox?
Mulder: Leave it. I'm watching "The Magician" at nine.
Samantha Mulder: Mom and Dad said I could watch some movie, Buttmunch.
Mulder: They're next door at the Gallren's and they said I'm in charge.
Mulder: Hey. Get out of my life.
Mulder: I'm watching The Magician.
In many episodes it is clear that the agents are not in the region of the country or the world, described in the captions or the script. This especially becomes evident when the series began filming in Southern California and the vegetation and the terrain clearly could have only been that region.
This production has not been approved, endorsed or authorized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. (appears in the end credits)
The 'previously on The X Files' segments are missing from the DVD Season boxset releases.
