After witnessing a murder, a young boy named Devon refuses to testify unless he is given the chance to be a policeman.
The phony license plate on the black Lincoln the villains drive is found to be registered under the name DiMucci. This is most likely a nod to Dion DiMucci who originally sang The Wanderer, which Ray Sharkey sings in one scene.
Hey, how you doing, farthead?
McNally: Mr. big shot with the cops, huh?
Devon: Don't you morons have anything else to do?
Devon: What'd you do that for?
Rio: Because, you called me a moron.
Devon: So, throwing your jacket on the ground makes you smarter?
McNally: This kid's making me nuts.
In the beginning when Devon and Sanchez are following Nick McKenna while he is chasing Quintero by car, Nick uses his car door to slam Quintero to the ground. Quintero leaves a big dent on the door which is visible when Nick opens the door and gets out. In the following shot when Nick enters the car again the dent is gone.
Though it's tacked on before the credits instead of after, there's an extra scene in which a sickly Chu is still seen laying on the hood of the bad guys' getaway boat still running in the ocean.
