Writer/Director Fred Dekker had originally envisioned the film as more in the tradition of Hong Kong Cinema of John Woo with mind blowing action and stunt work. He regrets not pushing Orion hard enough to go in that direction with films such as Terminator 2 superseding the genre both action wise and effects wise.
