  • Three husbands who elect to live independently of their wives move in together and hire a young cleaning woman to take care of their apartment. When each of them falls for her, they are surprised to discover that she is no pushover. Ground rules are immediately put into place by the cleaner and the husbands find themselves being whipped into shape in a fashion their wives have never been able to do. Invitations to dinner are accepted by the girl, only for the would-be Romeo to be presented with a bill at the end of the evening for the hours she has spent being wined and dined. The continuing problems with the ex-wives finds no easy resolution and the continuing pursuit of the cleaner is constantly being foiled by the girl herself. Some of the situations are laugh out loud ridiculous and the story proceeds at a breakneck speed that never flags. An American version of this movie might have had the husbands learning their lesson and being accepted back by their wives but this fresh and original Spanish approach, while satisfying, does not tie up all the husbands' indiscretions with a happily-ever-after conclusion. This movie is a lot of fun and well worth the time.
  • A fun comedy which is very funny and very romantic . The film deals with Joaquin meets Manolo and Juan Luis , who are also divorced . Their jobs are the followings : a commercial airline pilot (Juanjo Puigcorbe) , a sport radio commentator (Antonio Resines) and an architect (Imanol Arias). At the beginning they watch sports on television in the living room where takes place a strong discussion . They divorce their women : Susana (María Barranco) , Merche (Pastora Vega) and Esther (Kiti Mánver) but the trio meets a wonderful chance , as their common hatred of the opposite sex gives them the perfect excuse to live together in a luxurious apartment in downtown Madrid . Together , they establish rules to support their life as new bachelors , but with the agreement that they will watch out for each other in case any of them makes the mistake of falling in love with a woman again . They all break the rule after they aware how beautiful their new cleaning lady , Yoli (Cristina Marcos) , yet another divorcée , is . As everything changes when they attempt to seduce their sympathetic and attractive housekeeper.

This interesting as well as charming film is full of humor , agreeable scenes , entertainment and being quickly paced . Pereira's return to top form, with an intelligent and engaging script which uses amusing situations to give us a good movie in a high sense and intimate sensitivity and that kept me entertained for the almost 100 minutes of duration . Rightly enjoyable and fun-filled , milestone comedy which neatly combines humor , mirth , entertaining situations and amusement . The screenplay is plain and simple , three divorced men live together , share a flat , living in freedom , where they can smoke without trouble , dirty up without fear of being told off , constantly watch sports on television , have their one-night stands , etc , they remain without trouble till they hire a cleaning lady with whom the three flirt . The film gives a sour portrait of the divorced people , men and women , as their common hatred of the opposite sex . The plot flows quite smoothly , humour is never compromised . Common places about men and women relationships are broken non chalantly , and romance fits fine . Some flaws I can find is that some of the story lines are left and some character end up being implausible . This fun story displays a quartet of sensational protagonists : Juanjo Puigcorbé , Antonio Resines , Imanol Arias and Cristina Marcos . As nice acting by Juanjo Puigcorbe as Joaquín , a recently divorced airline pilot , Imanol Arias gives a sympathetic performance as the designer/architect who seduces young women and Antonio Resines as the good-tempered sport radio commentator .

This motion picture "All Men Are the Same" was produced by Cesar Benítez/Sogetel/ Carlos Orengo Productions , being well written and directed by Manuel Gomez Pereira along with his usual collaborators : Yolanda García Serrano and Joaquín Oristrell . Manuel usually writes his films and occasionally for other directors as "What Makes Women Laugh?" by Joaquin Oristell who in "Love Can Seriously Damage Your Health" is screenwriter and producer ; both of them are ordinary collaborators . Pereira is an expert on comedies as ¨¨Rose sauce¨, Why do they call it love when they mean sex ?¨, ¨Mouth to mouth¨ , "All Men Are the Same" , though he also has made some drama as ¨The hanged man¨ and this ¨Between your legs¨ . His latest projects, however , tanked as "Off Key" starred by an American-all star cast but was a failure both economically and artistically or simply didn't deliver as "Atrévete y Verás" . Nowadays , he directs TV chapters as ¨Gran Reserva¨ and ¨Cheers¨ series ."All Men Are the Same" or ¨Todos Los Hombres Son Iguales¨ resulted to be one of his greatest successes . It is followed by a TV series starring Tito Valverde , Josema Yuste , Luis Fernando Alvés , Ana Otero , formed by 67 episodes . And recently a Dominican Republic film (2016) directed by Manuel Gómez Pereira , distributed by Caribbean Films Distribution and starred by Christian Meier , Lizardo , Nashla Bogaert and Frank Perozo .
