My Friends on T.V.
There never has been a sitcom that truly pictures life among the singles (twenty-something) as good as this show does. It's not just comedy, it presents the episodes in such a way that one can truly identify with the situations they face so the audience has something to talk about in coffee shops too. The humor is universal. I feel like I'm part of the group every time I watch it because I feel the different emotions they go through. Plus, of course, it is so much fun because it's fast-paced. Every scene and every moment is relative to what is going to happen next so you don't feel like it is dragging you onto nothing. Just like how a sitcom should be. Funny!

Trivia

While Jack (Elliott Gould) and Judy Geller (Christina Pickles) (Monica (Courteney Cox) and Ross' (David Schwimmer's) parents) show up at the hospital when Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) have Emma (Judy came before the birth and Jack came afterwards), none of Rachel's family members, her mom Sandra (Marlo Thomas), her dad Leonard (Ron Leibman), nor her two younger sisters Amy (Christina Applegate) and Jill (Reese Witherspoon) show up.

Quotes

Phoebe: Look, Joey, I know about your feelings.
Joey: Oh, you do?
Phoebe: Yeah, and I don't think it could happen.
Joey: I know. I mean it's not just my friend Rachel, it's my pregnant with Ross's child friend Rachel.
Phoebe: Uhh... Yeah, Rachel, I mean you two are friends.
Phoebe: Kick me in...

Goofs

Rachel's birthday: In episode 4x05, she says she was born on May the 5th (Taurus) but later, in 7x22, when a policeman asks for her driver's license, he looks at her birth date and remarks that she is an Aquarius (January/February).

Crazy Credits

The credit clips are changed regularly, about twice a season. In TOW London the clips are only those that occur in that episode (Such as Chandler and Monica waking up in bed together, and a pregnant Phoebe eating cereal on her belly)

Alternate Versions

In the season 8 episode "The One With The Halloween Party", Rachel gives out candy to the first trick or treaters that come to the door. On the NBC original broadcasts, she comments on a girl's cowgirl costume and about Ralph Lauren's new clothes line and the young girl says "Just give me the candy!". In the syndicated version, she just gives her the candy.
