Follows the personal and professional lives of six 20 to 30-something-year-old friends living in Manhattan.
Gunther called Ross an 'ezel'(donkey). Ross looks up the word 'ezel' in the dictionary ad retorts Gunther "You're an ezel". Gunther easily overrules Ross by saying "jij hebt seks met ezels" (You have Sex with Donkeys).
Gunther, six glasses!
Gunther: Six? You want me to join you?
Ross: Oh, I thought Joey was here. Five will be fine.
Ross: Boy I'm gonna get spit in my coffee, now.
Even the show's designer has commented on the fact that the Central Perk sign on the window can be read correctly from both inside and outside the coffee shop. But viewers have noticed that the logo is symmetrical and suggest that it isn't unfeasible for the owners to have placed a sign on the inside of the window which completely covers the one on the outside, making it readable from both sides.
When the "The One That Could Have Been" was divided into two parts for syndication, a sequence was added that had the ending credits superimposed. It shows fat Monica dancing to some music while eating some food. The original hourlong airing of "The One That Could Have Been" did not have the credits at the end of the first half hour and this scene was not involved.
