Love, Glass and Guns (1995) stars two of my favorite Hong Kong actors Simon Yam and Cecilla Yip (they make a great on screen "tragic" couple). Ms. Yip is playing one of her strong female character roles whilst Simon Yam is playing a benevolent gangster (another role he plays besides his usual psycho characters)who through his own niceness is screwed over by certain parties resulting in a fall from grace within the crime world. Ms. Yip is plagued by similar problems but the two somehow manage to find each other in this crazy world. Can these two lovers find true happiness in a world gone wild?
Violent, dark and gritty with some sappy melodrama thrown in. A very unique film that's doesn't fail to please. Highly enjoyable but fairly depressing. Cecilla Yip looks very good in this picture (when doesn't she?)
