Director Michael Mann made two minor changes to the film for the Blu-ray release:
- During Justine's conversation with Vincent at the restaurant, her line "You sift through the detritus" has been removed, and a camera cut to Vincent has been inserted.
- Vincent's line "Ferocious, aren't I?", said after he screams at Alan Marciano, has been removed.
In the original 1995 theatrical release, the end credit theme slowly faded by Moby mid-credits to the sounds of a quiet air-field that played through the remainder of the credits. This was later changed in the subsequent home video release and restored theatrical versions which plays the opening theme over the credits.
The television version aired by NBC on January 3, 1999 was disowned by director Michael Mann and credited to "'Alan Smithee'" because, though Mann offered to reinstate 17 minutes of deleted footage in the film to make it fit a four-hour time slot, NBC decided to excise over 40 minutes of footage from the theatrical release in order to make it fit a three hour slot (including commercials).
