Under-Rated and Touching Movie.
This is one of those films that you always remember seeing the previews but never got around to seeing it. Powder is under rated as well as mislabeled.

The story is very unique. Powder, a completely bald albino was struck by lightning while in his mothers womb and now posseses electrical powers. Having been raised by his grandparents, he was hidden from the outside world until they pass away. He now is sent to a state orphanage and must deal with making friends and fitting in.

The acting is great with Sean Patrick Flannery in the title role and wonderful supporting performances by Jeff Goldblum, Lance Henrikson and Mary Steenburgen. Often people do not understand the movie because they are not satisfied by the acting and the story. Powder is a wonderful and touching movie that everyone should experience.
