Tell me, is there news? Have there been more skirmishes in the Border Worlds?
Admiral Tolwyn: News of the worst kind, I'm afraid. Betrayal. It appears that our great hero of the Kilrathi War has defected to the Union of Border Worlds.
Paladin: Blair? Defected? I find that ...
Blair and the other pilots on the Lexington watch a news anchorwoman interview Admiral Tolwyn on a 1990s Panasonic CRT television. The story is set in the 27th century. Although it's been placed inside some casing, the whole front of the TV is undisguised, the Panasonic logo and buttons can be seen. In other scenes TVs and monitors are better disguised.
After destroying or disabling the Lexington, we see a cut scene of Seether and Captain Paulson escaping in a shuttle. On the original PC six disc release we get a close up of Seether cutting Paulson's throat. However, on the Playstation and DVD version we get an alternate take where Paulson's 'execution' takes place just out of view. Also, Seether tells Paulson to "Stop whining" in this alternate take. The original close up take is viewable on the DVD version by accessing the video file directly on the DVD disc.
