- Carter Heywood is an outwardly homosexual character, and throughout the show many jokes are made about his love-life including he and Stuart ending up in bed together in one first season episode
- The first 8 or so episodes of the show revolve heavily around Flaherty and Ashley's love life, and they are shown in bed together, including a very intense sexual related scene in the Pilot Episode, where Mike has his head inside of Ashley's shirt
