During the Second American Civil War in 2017, Barb Wire owns a nightclub called the Hammerhead. Things become complicated when her ex-lover Axel Hood, who is married to the fugitive Corrina Devonshire, re-enters her life.
Barb's motorcycle is a 885cc Triumph Thunderbird made as a water-cooled three cylinder model by the new Triumph factory at Hinckley in Leicestershire. In later scenes she rides a Triumph Tiger which also had an 885cc water-cooled three cylinder engine.
Stripper in Dressing Room: She's Chinese.
When Barb goes to see Big Fatso with the lenses, she's got three ammo belts over her shoulders. The one over her right shoulder is under the two that are over her left shoulder meaning that she'd have to take off the two that are over her left shoulder before being able to take off the one that's over her right shoulder. Then Willis arrives with the Congressionals and he tells her to drop her weapons. When he tells her this, the ammo belts have switched places. The one that was over her right shoulder which used to be under the other two ammo belts is now over the other two ammo belts. Then in the next shot, as she's dropping her weapons, the ammo belts return to where they originally were.
A scene of an additional longer opening title sequence, which is just a longer video of Barb Wire dancing topless, following in the credits.
Original German video retail version was cut for violence (torturing of prisoners) to obtain a "Not under 16" rating. In 2010 the film was resubmitted to the FSK and this time the uncut version was rated "Not under 16".
