Excellently funny, not to be missed
This film is one of the best spoof films i have seen in a while. The Wanyes brothers bring their unique comedy style to a great comedy. i suppose you have to have seen all of the films which they are making fun of to fully appreciate the comedy but once you have seen Menace II Society, Boyz 'n' the Hood, Friday And Higher Learning you will want to watch this film over and over again

Trivia

When Ashtray and Loc Dog are being thrown against the police car, a white Ford Bronco can be seen in the background with bloody hand-prints on the side. This is a reference to OJ Simpson in the infamous Bronco chase and subsequent trial.

Quotes

Ashtray: Doo Rag! Do you know why you and I are an endangered species?
Doo Rag: Because we're black males?
Ashtray: NO! It's because the rappers are getting all the good acting jobs!

Goofs

When Loc-Dog saves Ashtray from the thugs they pull an RPG out but the rocket is loaded in the wrong end.

Crazy Credits

Robert Schimmel is listed in the opening credits, yet he does not appear anywhere in the film, and is missing from the end credits.

Alternate Versions

The Unrated version contains the following alternate scenes: Loc Dog's chat with the thug chick at the barbecue is extended; After Ashtray is released from jail Loc Dog, Preach and Crazy Legs play a game of Po'Nopoly; Loc Dog's dream is shown at the Old School scene; During Toothpick's drive by, instead of Ashtray running away he tries to save Dashiki, making more sense why he is suddenly lying on the ground; When grandma is said to have the "juice", she chops the guy's head off and puts it in her purse, referring to 'Dead Presidents'.
