Coincidences lead to the NBA team, New York Knicks, gets it's loudest fan, Eddie/W.Goldberg, as coach. Season victory?
While the Knicks have been one of the worst teams in the NBA, at the time of the release they were considered to be one of the best. Although the movie portrayed them to be the worst the real life Knicks had just appeared in the NBA Finals 2 years prior to the films release in 1994
To me, it looks like two of New York's most respected retailers love Eddie.
Rahman, Mujibur: Eddie is the best thing to happen to New York...
Islam, Sirajul: Since David Letterman.
Mujibur and Sirajul: She's very nice.
Trautwig, Al: How much is the T-shirt?
Trautwig, Al: 18 bucks.
Rahman, Mujibur: (gives the Bengali word for "ripoff")
When the announcer is reading off the list of seat numbers for the Honorary Coach selection, he says "Row R, seat 15" and Eddie and her friends start cheering that it is her seat. You can see the row letters on the side of the chairs beginning each row. Eddie is actually in row "S", seat 15 and the gentleman in front of her is in the actual row "R" seat 15.
