Loved Haddon Hall
The best thing about the movie was that the producer used Haddon Hall as Thornfield. Haddon Hall once belonged to my ancestors.

William Hurt was , in my opinion, a little wooden in his portrayal of Mr. Rochester . Maybe it was because his horse fell on him in his first scene, and he didn't quite recuperate. His character left nothing to like and how Jane fell in love with that type of person is beyond me.

The actresses that played young Helen and Jane were excellent. Full of warmth and compassion, and you really feel their friendship for each other. I surely hope children back in the Victorian era weren't all treated that badly.

If you haven't seen the movie, I would recommend it. I would also like to see the Timothy Dalton movie that some of the reviewers said was better.
