A punchline for more than 100 years, the Chicago Cubs’ historic World Series drought has made its way into a number of iconic small screen moments. Frankly, we’re all hoping the jokes come to a definitive end in 2016 (Go Cubs Go!), and just in case that happens, we’ve compiled a list of the most memorable pop culture references and predictions from the last century. Enjoy the jokes while you can — hopefully, just a few more days.

“The Simpsons”
If you’re on the air for nearly three decades and feature as many pop culture references as “The Simpsons,” the Cubs are bound to come up a few times. And they have, both as a four-word joke and a more elaborate unveiling of the only way the Cubs could actually win. Yet the most pertinent...

Welcome to another edition of our upstart series, Mindhole Blowers, in which we troll the Internet and listen to DVD Commentaries to bring you what we hope is fascinating minutia. Typically, we look at movies (see our Mindhole Blowers columns on Cameron Crowe's Singles and Shane Black's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), but today -- with the release of Horrible Bosses on the horizon -- I thought we'd take a look at a person, the fascinating and ridiculously durable Jason Bateman.

Following the news that ABC will not be ordering additional episode of freshman drama Eastwick, costar Lindsay Price (pictured) has been named a suspected show killer. Though undeniably adorable, the actress has a long rap sheet of failed TV shows that also includes NBC's Lipstick Jungle, Pepper Dennis, and Coupling. Which other actors are on TV's Most Wanted (and Least Lucky) List? Our top offenders: • Jason Gedrick: Truly impressive versatility in terms of the number of networks he's failed on. Victims include: Fox's Class of '96; CBS' Sweet Justice, Ez Streets, and Falcone; ABC's Murder One and The Beast; and NBC's Boomtown and Windfall.
