Early on Hank states that he was born in 1953. Then in another show Hank says that he graduated Arlen High in 1974, which would make him born in 1956. Later Hank learns that he was born in New York on the day that Fidel Castro visited Yankee Stadium, which was April 15, 1959.
In the opening credits, the "Created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels" credit is shown on the side of a garbage bag that the Hills are throwing out.
When the episode where Hank wants to take Bobby deer hunting aired in syndication, some scenes were altered, like: the scene of Peggy describing milestones to Hank; and at the permit office, he asks for a permit but it edits the part where he also asks for a Don't Mess With Texas bumper sticker.
