The Amish location of the movie is set in Intercourse, Pennsylvania, (population: 1,274 as of 2010 census) an unincorporated village and census-designated place in Leacock Township, Lancaster County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, 10 miles east of Lancaster on Pennsylvania Route 340. Intercourse is a popular site for tourists because of its location in "Amish country" and its sexually suggestive name.
Tourist Man:
Look, what's this gonna take, huh? Whaddaya need? Five bucks? A little Amish Lincoln?
When Brad and Caroline Sexton are fighting over the intercoms, the movie Brad turns on is It Happened One Night (1934). However, the first line you hear is "Jumpin' catfish, you drive a guy crazy." The next line you hear is "You can leave. I can get along." These lines are actually out of order according to the film itself.
The end credits show funny outtakes and deleted scenes cut for time.
