  • The only thing interesting about this movie was the Jane's Addiction poster in the main character's bedroom. Godmoney not only copies from other GOOD movies, but also includes some very mediocre acting. The main character, Nathan, does a decent job most of the time but the rest of the cast was weak. I had a hard time sitting through the whole movie. I expected a lot and got zip. Any other movie in this genre would likely be better.
  • I bought this DVD expecting a decent independent movie, but I was very disappointed. The acting was horrible, the direction was bad, the script was terrible. I usually can think of something good to say about a film, but I am at a loss for this one. What is even more disturbing is the director actually believes his actors were great in the film. I guess the soundtrack was ok and the DVD had lots of extras on it, but does not make up for the horrible movie. Thankfully, the director is humble and desires to learn more, lets hope he does.
  • This was one of those underground independent films that just happened to be really good. Director Darren Doane is mostly known to us as a Music Video Director bringing us videos from bands like Blink 182 and MxPx. A good film to watch from a music video director. If you see the DVD Special Edition you can see the original Godmoney film starring Christian Bale (Empire of the Sun, Little Women, American Psycho).
  • This film contained the power of what I believe is stupendous! I choose this film as one of the greatest films I have ever seen overall under Platoon, Three Kings, The Shawshank Redemption, and Life is Beautiful. Darren Doane is the best is movie and music videos.

A cheaply produced film, with no stars but a very intriguing story about a young loner Nathan, - well played by unknown Rick Rodney - who moves from New York, on the run from a life of crime, to the suburbs but after getting fired from his low paying job, he gets mixed up with the local drug dealer in order to raise the money he is desperate for just to get by. The story unfolds intriguingly but the ending is not the best, which is a shame. Apart from that it is very well written, acted and well worth a rental.
  • Half way into this film, I suddenly had a sense of dread wash over me. Was I watching a religious propaganda movie? Was this a 'Hellhouse' of a movie? (Note: Hell Houses are Christian Haunted houses that try to scare you out of sinning). Luckily, this dread passed. I don't believe this movie is meant to be religious propaganda, I just believe thats the only place this film lacks (its religious references seem to preach to the audience). The soundtrack of this film is amazing, from the Descendents to AFI. And except for my small panic attack (first movie to ever do this to me), I really enjoyed the story and plot twists. Its a fun movie to watch. 7/10
  • Considering the movie is made on a limited budget it's not bad at all. Interesting enough storyline and whilst you'll get no Oscar worthy performances from the cast it's hardly bad in that regard. Strife fans alone will want to see Ricks performance which is decent to good for a man that isn't an actor per say.
