The biggest night in music is finally here! Tonight, the top names in music gathered for the 67th Grammy Awards.
The competition is stiff this year, with Beyoncé leading all nominees with 11, thanks to Cowboy Carter. She scored nods in not only the three major categories — Song, Record, and Album of the Year — but four different genre categories: Country, Pop, Rap, and Americana. Her 11 nominations also made her the most nominated artist in Grammy history with 99 (she previously shared the record, 88, with her husband, Jay-Z).

Spoiler Alert! This piece contains major spoilers for the ending of Xo, Kitty Season 2.
Though Xo, Kitty revolves around several romantic relationships and a shape beyond a love triangle for its main character Katherine Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), lovingly dubbed “chaos queen” by her platonic soulmate Q (Anthony Keyvan), Q and Kitty’s friendship also anchors the show.
Cathcart is the first to acknowledge that her courageous character still has much work to do in figuring out her “very big, very chaotic heart” as well as supporting her friends, particularly Q as much as he has her back throughout the series.
“I feel like Q shows up for Kitty so much. There were so many times watching the season where I was like, ‘Girl, you need to show up for your friends,’” Cathcart told Deadline. “And we all know that Kitty always means well and sometimes, she just can’t help it.

Typically, the dance/electronic field at the Grammys is pretty easy to predict. Last year it was obvious that Fred Again was ahead of the competition, with four nominations overall. The year before Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” was the predictable winner, as it was far and away the most popular and acclaimed album in the lineup. However, this year is more interesting. While there’s one big neon green lock, there are a lot of possibilities in the other category, with perhaps the threat of a veteran act pulling off a surprise win.
Let’s start with Charli Xcx, whose “Brat” is up for Best Dance/Electronic Album. She is easily the frontrunner, with “Brat” being the biggest popular hit in the lineup, as well as the most critically acclaimed album of the year. The album received nine nominations overall, including Album of the Year. Another serious contender is Justice for their album “Hyperdrama.

There are several moments on Four Tet’s new album Three that sound like Aphex Twin B-Sides, which is less a sign of a lack of imagination but instead, proof of how widespread a particular take on ambient music has become. Maybe chalk it up to YouTube’s recommendation algorithm, the platform is awash in hour-long mixes of Aphex Twin tracks on loop (sometimes accompanied by a video of a serene-looking monkey relaxing in a lake), designed to play while you focus on work or school, or whatever. Fans are introduced to Rachel Stone, an unassuming tech agent working for MI6, in the Tom Harper-directed movie starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan that is presently streaming on Netflix. Tom Harper deftly interweaves themes of technology, morality, and human nature, allowing spectators to consider the hazy distinctions between hero and antagonist, man and machine.
But as the story progresses, it becomes evident that Rachel is actually an undercover foreign agent working for a separate organization who has been tasked with tracking down a mysterious hacker named Keya. Heart of Stone's intricate web of intrigue and espionage holds viewers' attention throughout the whole film. Brooklyn 99, showing Hitchcock and Scully’s backstory, was an important move for their characters. Michael Hitchcock and Norm Scully are known for being partners and best friends of 30 years, but their presence around the precinct has always been questionable. The two are portrayed as lazy and stupid, and they looked to always be the butt of the joke for the rest of the team. However, showing their origin story shed a new light on their work at the 99, giving their characters the depth they needed.
For the majority of Brooklyn 99, Hitchcock and Scully were a very one-note joke. While good people, they were the last officers the team would go to for help because of their supposed incompetence. However, the season 6 episode “Hitchcock & Scully” showed them taking down a mafia boss and his subsequent drug ring. It was cool to see more of young Hitchcock and Scully in action,...

“Paper Girls” is a sci-fi adventure through and through, but, like any good adventure, it packs a few emotional punches. Among them is a conversation that Kj (played by Fina Strazza) gets to have in the future — but not with herself. It’s a moment with her future girlfriend, as she comes to terms with her sexuality.
In the series, which is now streaming in its entirety on Prime Video, Kj and her friends are transported from 1988 to 2019, then later backwards to 1999. In their travels, the girls have the opportunity to meet their older selves. But Kj opts out, and instead accidentally runs headfirst into her future self’s girlfriend.
It’s a jarring moment for Kj, realizing what her feelings mean and what kind of future they lead to. For the most part, it leads to absolute terror — until she encounters her future girlfriend once more. After observing her...

HBO Max is expanding its kids and family programming slate with B-Loved, a ghostly romance two-part special event starring Peyton List (Cobra Kai), along with three live-action acquisitions, including all three seasons of Hank Zipzer, based on the book written by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver, inspired by Winkler’s life.
B-Loved (working title), from Endeavor Content and Wonder Worldwide, stars List as Bea, a free-spirited teenage ghost who forms a special friendship with the new boy in town, Cole, whose house she has been inhabiting for over 100 years. With the help of a magical ring that allows Cole to see Bea, they’ll rediscover the meaning of being alive, but also the importance of letting go. Written by Black List Nicholl Fellowship winner, Cesar Vitale, the special will be directed by Emily Ting (Tall Girl 2). It’s scheduled to premiere in time for Valentine’s Day 2023 on HBO Max.

We've been impatiently waiting for To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You - the sequel to what is arguably Netflix's most popular rom-com, To All the Boys I've Loved Before - since the first film's credits rolled back in 2018.
