Michael (Dermot Mulroney) often calls Julianne (Julia Roberts) by her nickname Jules, which coincidentally is her nickname in real life.
Scotty O'Neal:
Could we raise our glasses? And wish Mike and Kim every happiness! For a long and happy life together filled with happiness! Well I guess that's it!
Male Wedding Guest:
To the bride and groom!
Scotty O'Neal:
Now let's hear it from the maid of honor the lovely Julianne!
Charlie Trotter plays himself in the movie. He is a Chicago chef and, at the time of the movie, had no restaurants other than his signature restaurant in Chicago. Jules reviews his New York restaurant; presumably, he was either hired away by a new fictional restaurant in New York or has opened a fictional branch of his Chicago restaurant there.
UK cinema version removes all profanity and inserts inoffensive replacements, most notably in the scene where Julianne explains tells Michael that George came from New York to f*** her.
